HANDY CAPABILITY

I broke my foot a while ago and desided that I didnt like the crutcher I got and started looking for alternative ways to take pressure of the foot while being able to still use my hands.

In Sweden we have a elbow and hand-based crutch that makes it hard to carry things and function proparly in our society.

Americans have a different kind of crutch, they put pressure on the shoulders, but still, it has the same problems as the european onces.

TRIGGER.
The event that got me into this from the begining held place at a bbq by the icy waters of Sweden. I found a tree and ofcourse had to climb it. My friend, who was on solid ground, wanted to give me a beer. So i rushed down, but when I was a bit over 3 or 4 meter over ground, the branches I held onto broke of! First the one below my feet, than the one in hand. In midair I tryed to plan my landing, Either I fall onto the grill. Or Ill do a summersalt into the water. Or roll past the tree, risking hitting my head. I manage to non of the above, my left foot hit a rock, twisted my ancle and a two cm bone broke of wich resulted in my foot to swell to about 4 times its normal size.

IDEA.
So this is my plan. A alternative to the crutch were you can function in the society and abeling you to use your hands. leting the shape blend in to the everyday scenario.

Because this is a alternative, its not suppose to look or be based on the actuall crutch-solution.

latest gaming technology?

Is this really the latest gaming technology? I dont think so, who would bring that into their apartment?

What Ive seen at my school i the exact opposit. Manly handheld devices och just stationary cameras like kinect or wii-remotes are what the students (the future designers) are working on. Its very interesting. "how can we make gaming for active people?" or rather "how to make gamers more active" is the questions that seams to be floating around.

Think about that...
